Mark Harendorf Accounting for Divorce

Mark Harendorf, CDFA®, BA

For over 30 years, Mark has practiced accounting at HSM LLP, a firm his father founded more than 50 years ago. Mark is a principal in the firm and provides his clients with accounting, tax, business and other day in and day out practical advice in order to assist them in running more profitable businesses. During Mark’s years of practice he has assisted many clients during their separation and divorce process by being there and providing close “hand holding” advice and guidance on a variety of issues that one experiences during separation and divorce. Mark recently obtained the designation of CDFA® - Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. This designation coupled with his years of experience positions Mark well in being able to offer his clients practical and well educated advice during their separation.

Mark is also able to assist the many family law lawyers he works with by providing them with accurate, timely and relevant accounting and tax documents, and in a format they require, in order to assist them with obtaining a fair and equitable separation and divorce and hopefully in an expedited manner. For the past 29 years, Mark has volunteered his time by preparing personal income tax returns for the elderly and less privileged at the CPA/CRA sponsored income tax clinics. In addition, Mark served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for a charitable organization for nine years and is still a member of the board of directors of the charity today. In his spare time, Mark enjoys travelling, spending time with his three children, Josh, Joey and Ally and of course, watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
